VP, Group Creative Director (GCD) is an established Creative leader actively driving creative in their group, inspiring and managing a team of Creative professionals across multiple brands, audiences, and therapeutic categories, approximately $20MM+ in revenue.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping create/review creative briefs, ensuring strong blueprint for on-strategy, brand-building, award-winning creative; loop in ECD for support.
- Strong written/verbal communication, presenting compelling creative ideas with strategic rationale.
- Bring in ECD/CCO/Executive Craft Director at key milestones in original campaign creative (brief, tissues, all key decisions).
- Ensure agency counterparts understand original work process.
- Closely collaborate with Strategy, AM, and PM to manage client needs and brand objectives.
- Ensure TheWrks is written into scopes for concepting and Integrated Production.
- Engage CraftWrks at tissue stage on original work, Executive Craft Director for all vendor selection/execution.
- Create opportunities for ideation (what-if work) considering brand key insights, awareness days, advocacy groups.
- Utilize brand planning to sell in brand-building, award-winning work for the year.
- Ensure team tracks with billability goals, redeploys during lulls/high periods; flag issues to Resourcing/ECD.
- Understand talent-to-task, staff appropriately and profitably; flag concerns to ECD.
- Negotiate & advocate for appropriate project hours.
- Find organic growth opportunities, improve ways of working, and promote initiatives.
- Lead Creative teams to new business wins, collaborate cross-functionally to tell a cohesive story with best-in-class creative.
- Oversee TV/print shoots/post-production ensuring smooth execution (delegate or personally attend).
- Foster a motivated, satisfied team with strong culture.
- Mentor reports, ensure mentorship pyramid.
- Understand EVERSANA INTOUCH processes; negotiate/troubleshoot workflows; escalate concerns to ECD.
Qualifications include:
- 12+ years experience producing strategic, business-building, brand-building, award-winning creative.
- Proven ability to build/maintain client relationships.
- Experience in HCP/DTC, DAOR/AOR with AOR emphasis.
- Experience with launches, label updates, navigating medical/legal hurdles.
Skills include strong presentation skills, ensuring creative excellence, proactively overcoming obstacles, reviewing briefs for clear story, actively managing projects, identifying high-potential projects, balancing team experience & high-quality production, maximizing team utilization, managing difficult client challenges, maintaining strong relationships.
