Job Details

Join the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as a field-based Account Executive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prospect and target healthcare providers for high utilization of SHIELD to screen patients for CRC and other cancers.
  2. Meet or exceed sales goals, maximize promotional budgets, and execute the national sales strategy.
  3. Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities with primary care providers.
  4. Develop and implement a business plan in line with brand strategy.
  5. Identify and partner with national, regional, and local laboratories.
  6. Initiate and secure lab service draw agreements, in-service and train specimen collection, workflow.
  7. Identify opportunities in the marketplace, share best practices, and proactively communicate strategies.
  8. Continuously analyze competitive landscape and provide customer feedback.
  9. Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
  10. Manage implementation of all promotional activities.
  11. Work effectively with individuals across multiple departments.
  12. Collaborate and coordinate with the sales team to ensure company goals.

Experience & Skills:

  • 4+ years of direct experience in a customer-facing sales role (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales).
  • Proven closing abilities and past performance that has met/exceeded expectations.
  • Comfortable communicating and selling to healthcare providers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to engage in a consultative selling process.
  • Outstanding market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Develop and utilize cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and Veeva).
  • Demonstrate Guardant Health values.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sales/marketing of diagnostic products (blood-based testing).
  • Product launch planning and execution experience.
  • Familiarity with primary care practice landscape in territory.
  • High-touch customer service skills.

Personal Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet doctor office entry/access requirements.
  • Ability to travel daily.

Additional Information:

  • Salary range: $116,000 to $133,000 (US).
