This is an opportunity to join the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as a field-based Account Executive. Work hand in hand with sales leadership to set go-to-market sales strategy and launch a revolutionary new technology for cancer screening.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect and target healthcare providers for high utilization of SHIELD to screen patients for CRC and other cancers.
- Meet or exceed sales goals, maximize promotional budgets, and execute national sales strategy.
- Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities with primary care providers.
- Develop and implement a business plan in line with brand strategy.
- Identify and partner with national, regional and local labs for phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Initiate and secure lab service draw agreements, in-service and train specimen collection.
- Identify opportunities, share best practices, and communicate strategies.
- Analyze competitive landscape and provide customer feedback.
- Structure strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
- Manage implementation of all promotional activities.
- Work with individuals across multiple departments.
- Collaborate and coordinate with sales team.
- Embrace Guardant Health company culture.
- Travel daily within assigned territory; regional/national meetings.
- Support and comply with Quality Management System policies.
Requirements
- 1+ years of direct experience in healthcare sales (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical).
- Consistent closing abilities and proven past performance.
- Comfortable communicating, presenting, and selling to healthcare providers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage in a consultative selling process.
- Outstanding market, customer, distribution and product knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Develop and utilize cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (ideally Salesforce and Veeva).

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with diagnostic products sales.
- Product launch planning and execution experience.
- Familiarity with primary care practice landscape.
Personal Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to meet doctor office and health clinic entry requirements.
- Ability to travel.
Salary: $116,000 - $133,000 (US). Individual pay determined by factors like location and experience.
