Opportunity to join the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as a field-based Account Executive. Work with sales leadership to develop go-to-market strategy and launch revolutionary cancer screening technology.
Field-based Account Executive - Screening responsibility is to promote colorectal cancer (CRC) liquid biopsy to healthcare providers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect and target healthcare providers to maximize SHIELD utilization for CRC screening.
- Meet or exceed sales goals, optimize promotional budgets, and execute national sales strategy.
- Drive business expansion/collaboration with primary care providers.
- Develop and implement a business plan aligned with brand strategy.
- Identify and partner with national/regional/local labs for phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Initiate and secure lab service agreements, in-service and train specimen collection, workflow, etc.
- Identify market opportunities, share best practices, and proactively communicate strategies.
- Analyze competitive landscape and provide customer feedback to GHI leadership.
- Structure strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
- Manage implementation of all promotional activities.
- Collaborate with sales team for company goal attainment.
- Represent Guardant Health culture.
Field-based role. Must be able to travel daily within the assigned territory and regionally/nationally for meetings.
Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years direct customer-facing healthcare sales (diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals) with a history of consistently exceeding expectations.
- Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, selling skills, and problem-solving.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain extensive market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
- Negotiation and Customer Service: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with high confidentiality.
- Administrative Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce, Veeva preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with diagnostic product sales (blood-based testing, phlebotomy).
- Product launch planning and execution experience.
- Familiarity with the primary care practice landscape.
Personal Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Meet specific doctor office and health clinic entry/access requirements.
- Ability to travel.
Compensation
Salary Range: $116,000 - $133,000 (USD) full-time.

- Compensation range does not include benefits/bonus/commission.
- Individual pay determined by location, skills, and experience.

- Desk/office environment; potential exposure to noise, fumes, and biohazard.
