Account Supervisor role supports the MedComm group, managing medical communications projects from inception to completion. Projects include scientific content development, conference engagements, data visualization, healthcare provider key opinion leader (KOL) engagement, speaker program development and training, advisory boards, and virtual/live educational events. The role manages tactical execution of integrated medical communications plans, understanding the agency/client relationship.
The role develops and incorporates strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. Collaborates with Project Management, Medical, Strategy, Creative, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce project plans, using data and insights.
As a main client/partner contact, the role contributes to tactical plans and daily support on strategic efforts alongside Account Directors.
Accountable for identifying and meeting client needs, aligning internal processes, and ensuring successful project initiation, management, and execution.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leading client presentations, facilitating internal meetings, and participating in a cross-functional team.
- Developing detailed campaign and project plans, serving as project owner for the finished product/service.
- Managing status updates and financial forecasting, tracking budget, goals, and objectives.
- Managing projects with strict deadlines and deliverable drop-dead dates for peer-to-peer education (speaker decks, training, congress presentations, KOL engagement).
- Managing project team logistics (venue, contracts, travel, food, meeting rooms, AV, etc.).
- Customizing template documents and coordinating attendee distribution.
- Reconciling final invoices with EIT Meeting Services.
- Demonstrating ownership for EIT agency procedures, processes, and workflows.
- Maintaining/exceeding minimum billable utilization percentages.
- Training junior team members.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years related industry experience (client services, advertising/marketing agency, pharmaceutical marketing).
- Medical communications experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Strong marketing/advertising experience, expertise in digital strategy, media, and technology.
- Meeting planning/services, live/virtual event management, and congress experience preferred.
- Ability to approve copy, scope, and deliverables with high quality control.
- Ability to manage multiple, high-priority projects with competing deadlines.
- Strong client relations and customer satisfaction skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects to successful completion.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and business acumen skills.
- Understanding of web development technologies and processes.
- Ability to supervise and develop junior team members.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Periodic travel required.
