SCOPE: The Area Sales Director manages the sales organization, achieving objectives by managing Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Area Sales Representatives (ASRs). This role involves recruiting, managing the sales budget, and supporting the sales team. Candidates must live within the South Central territory (TX, NE, KS, OK, MO, AR, LA, MS).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages area sales budget and quotas.
- Implements strategies and tactics with the VP to achieve budget goals.
- Develops sales plans for RSMs and ASRs.
- Manages sales expenses.
- Recruits RSMs and ASRs.
- Recommends account coverage and territory assignments.
- Manages Key Opinion Leader relationships with Marketing.
- Assists in Regional Sales Management and AOM development.
- Coordinates training for RSMs and ASRs.
- Creates sales programs.
- Resources Sales team needs with cross-functional teams.
- Executes strategies and tactics with Marketing, including new product launches.
- Keeps current with continuing education.
- Complies with AdvaMed standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 7+ years medical device experience (Oncology or Interventional Radiology preferred)
- Sales management and sales experience in medical devices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Travel 50% - 65%
- Valid driver's license
