Opportunity: Join the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as a field-based Associate Account Executive to support go-to-market sales strategy and launch a revolutionary cancer screening technology.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and target healthcare providers for high utilization of SHIELD for colorectal cancer (CRC) liquid biopsy.
- Meet or exceed sales goals, maximizing promotional budgets to support national sales strategy.
- Seek strategic business expansion opportunities with primary care providers.
- Develop and implement a business plan aligned with brand strategy.
- Identify and partner with national, regional, and local laboratories for phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Identify market opportunities, share best practices, and communicate strategies to cross-functional partners.
- Analyze competitive landscape and provide customer feedback to leadership.
- Recommend strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
- Manage promotional activities to support sales and marketing strategies.
- Work effectively with multiple departments.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the sales team.
- Represent Guardant Health values.
- Travel daily within assigned territory and to regional/national meetings.
- Support the company’s Quality Management System.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in a customer-facing field-based sales role, preferably in healthcare (diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals).
- Consistent closing abilities, meeting and exceeding expectations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage in consultative selling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with sales/marketing of diagnostic products to primary care providers.
- Product launch planning and execution experience.
- Familiarity with the primary care practice landscape in the territory.
- High-touch customer service skills.
Personal Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to meet doctor office/clinic entry requirements.
- Ability to maintain market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong administrative skills to manage business in complex environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and Veeva).
Salary: $96,000 - $105,000 (USD) - Full-Time
Additional Information:
- Must have ability to travel daily.
- Must be proficient with in-person, phone, and virtual selling.
