We are looking for a highly energized and passionate team player accountable for the sales results and development of new and existing business within our biopharma accounts in Italy. Reporting to the Group Leader Account Manager BioPharma for Italy, this position involves building and maintaining key relationships, with the ability to apply understanding of customer organizations, needs and networks to integrate our innovative product workflows into their research, translational research and clinical applications. You will respond to customer needs whilst making use of all available technologies and channels to support the sales meeting.
Your role
- You are accountable for identifying, investigating and developing new business opportunities and alliances within the private/biopharma sector by mapping the entire customer ecosystem and identifying key stakeholders. You continually maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Miltenyi’s technology, products, markets, competitors and customer buying practices.
- Based on excellent business planning and developing a high-impact sales strategy and its execution, you will meet and exceed sales targets and deliver strategically aligned growth.
- You will report on account progress against forecasts and account goals. Planning and execution of effective customer visits and recording of all activities and opportunities within the company’s CRM is a must.
- Through strong knowledge of the workflows relevant to the Miltenyi product portfolio, you will drive high-level collaborations with biopharma customers at all levels, bringing fresh insights and anticipating future opportunities and demands. You have a strong understanding of the customers’ strategic initiatives, partners and future acquisitions, and develop relationships with innovation groups.
- Minimum degree BSc in a biological discipline mandatory. An advanced degree MSc/Ph.D. in immunology, oncology, cell analysis or cancer biology is desired.
- Ability to communicate and influence change at/with senior level customer leadership and adapt/optimize your style of communication if necessary. With advanced listening & negotiation skills, you are driven to achieve sales results and goals.
- Excellent time and territory management habits with the ability to make pragmatic decisions in a timely manner.
- Strong work ethic, customer-oriented, commercial acumen and ability to build positive working relationships at all levels. You combine high positive energy with strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in both face-to-face and virtual settings, ranging from small to large groups. Fluent English skills are mandatory.
You are based in Italy (ideally in the Bologna area) and willing to travel extensively within Italy and Europe.
This is a 12 month temporary contract initially.
