Job Details

Business Development Manager

Role: Part of the Global Training & Development team.

Reporting To: Director

Responsibilities:

  1. Business development of all Training Products
  2. Generating maximum income, increasing market share, and profits
  3. Ensuring return on investment and improving customer satisfaction
  4. Responding and aligning to Training strategy and Division/Group's portfolio strategy
  5. Scaling up commercial training products
  6. Building & working with Lighthouse customers
  7. Bringing business cases through the gate process
  8. Creating channel to market
  9. Customer engagement & sponsors
  10. Identifying strategic opportunities
  11. Managing pipeline by segment & sub-segment
  12. Coordinating across sales, service, and technology for complex deals
  13. Supporting global bids on complex deals
  14. Managing incoming bid pipeline & assignments
  15. Mentoring regional sales staff
  16. Carrying out lessons learned on wins/losses
  17. Ensuring business achieves short/long-term plans, strategies, & tactics
  18. Ensuring annual order commitments are achieved
  19. Assisting with major corporate initiatives
  20. Growing existing and new customer relationships
  21. Working collaboratively with product managers to define tech/product & customer roadmaps
  22. Participating in strategic planning, forecasting, & budgeting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or relevant field
  • Understanding of business aspects (Customer service, Manufacturing, Operations, Purchasing, Sales, Project, Marketing, R&D)
  • Ability to measure key metrics
  • Understanding of customer research & buying processes
  • Experience in B2B Sales & Marketing
  • Knowledge of Global recycling & mining industry
  • CAPEX & OPEX sales experience
  • Successful record in Recycling/mining industry
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) & Visio
  • SAP experience
  • Learning Management System experience
  • Understanding of SD product portfolio & industry requirements
