Business Development Manager – Defence Engineering Services
Your Responsibilities
- Winning new business across time and materials ‘staffing’, service centre and work packages in the defence business sector.
- Build a strategy for developing and winning new business where you’re responsible for the P&L, both revenue and margin.
- Understand the market and customer needs, building and executing a strategy.
- Use direct sales, marking and thought leadership to build curiosity and drive lead generation.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organisations. Understand client needs, business challenges.
- Generate a compelling sales pitch and value proposition tailored to customer needs.
- Work all levels of the account from engineering manger to director.
- Write proposals and responses to RFQs that support your excellent customer knowledge and confirm Segula are the supplier of choice.
- Win business to exceed your targets both in revenue and margin.
- Manage the sales cycle including CRM management and status reporting.
- Maintain excellent customer relations following up on projects to ensure high satisfaction and ensuring repeat business.
You may have:
- Recruitment experience with a well known customer network.
- A number of years of engineering experience and be looking for a new challenge.
- An existing career in business development with an existing network of customers.
You will:
- Be self-starter with a can-do attitude, paired with an energetic and enthusiastic approach.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Be well structured and organised.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced international environment.
- Have a valid driving licence and ability to travel within Europe and within the UK.
Aptitude and attitude are key for this position and training will be available.
