As a Channel Sales Manager, South Africa, you'll report directly to the Regional Director and be responsible for selling Western Digital Storage Solutions: Desktop/NAS/Smart Video – HDD, Consumer Storage Solutions/External Hard Drives, and Enterprise Storage Solutions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Achieving quarterly sales targets
- Working closely with distributors, assigning quarterly targets
- Setting up the distribution network by identifying key System Integrators/Installers and Security Camera Vendors
- Managing pricing, stock distribution, orders and forecasts, and payments
- Developing strong relationships with existing System Integrators through training, seminars, and incentive programs
- Building alliances with CCTV vendors to grow the surveillance hard drive business
- Collecting and analyzing competitive information for decision-making
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure sales activities meet business and legal requirements
- Working with the marketing team to identify, plan, and execute opportunities within the quarter
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of related sales experience
- In-depth knowledge of the South African IT Distribution/Channel landscape
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop new business
- Strong business development skills
- Ability to travel
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CCTV vendors and surveillance hard drive business
- Retail and E-Tail experience
- Effective use of sales processes, tools, and qualification procedures
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, vendors, contractors, and management
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office
