As the Deal Assurance Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, profitability, and compliance of commercial deals in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment. You’ll act as the strategic bridge between sales, finance, legal, product, and customer success, reviewing complex deals to ensure alignment with company policies, margin goals, and contractual standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve non-standard deals for pricing, margin, commercial terms, and contract compliance
- Partner with sales, legal, and finance teams to structure deals that align with business objectives while meeting customer needs
- Ensure all deals adhere to established pricing guidelines, discount thresholds, revenue recognition rules, and contracting policies
- Identify risks or gaps in proposed deals and recommend solutions or alternative structures
- Support sales teams with guidance during the deal negotiation process to expedite approvals and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with product, billing, and operations teams to ensure accurate implementation of complex or bespoke deal terms
- Support continuous improvement of deal governance, internal systems, and approval frameworks (e.g., CPQ, CRM, CLM tools)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in deal desk, sales operations, finance, or a related role in a B2B SaaS company
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606), and subscription pricing strategies
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and business judgment skills
- Familiarity with CRM (e.g., Salesforce), CPQ tools (e.g. Salesforce CPQ), and contract lifecycle management systems
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working under tight timelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus
This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside the 50 mile radius of our San Ramon office. For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Ramon location, this role is Hybrid and would require 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in our San Ramon office.
