Real is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. This role will support legal team members with critical tasks, managing highly sensitive and confidential materials, and be integral in managing legal support activities related to joint ventures, compliance, title services, and administrative functions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Joint Venture Support: Assist in the preparation of materials for the Company’s joint ventures, including agreements, notices, and resolutions.
- License Applications: Support the preparation and submission of license applications for title services, and manage the approval process.
- Compliance Management: Help manage and implement compliance matters within the company’s title services activities.
- Document Drafting & Correspondence: Draft business letters, memorandums, presentations, and other documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Presentation & Spreadsheet Creation: Create, edit, and format presentations and spreadsheets.
- Document Management: Maintain and organize large volumes of documents (electronic and paper), including indexing, tracking, and updating legal files.
- Entity Formation & Documentation: Assist in forming new entities, obtaining EINs, and other relevant legal documentation.
- Internal Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support legal initiatives.
- Project Management: Manage various legal projects.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous experience working in a law firm or corporate environment, specifically in securities, corporate law, and joint ventures.
- Proven experience in subsidiary governance and corporate structure management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Certification as a notary public is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a legal or corporate environment.
- Paralegal certification is a plus.
