The Customer Factory Industrial Engineering Manager is an expert level, hands-on role with the primary purpose to optimize value delivery to customers, in support of the development and deployment of embellishment applications and related automation solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the definition of value propositions associated with Embelex solutions for factory customers.
- Understand and define the value drivers for specific solution applications.
- Support the ideation, development, deployment, and optimization stages of embellishments applications and solutions.
- Proactively collaborate with factory customers, product and solutions development, factory sales, technical sales, embellishments applications engineering, and manufacturing 4.0 as required.
- Support the improvement and standardization of Embelex applications and automation solutions at the customer factory.
- Supporting training development and delivery for customers.
- Ensure ongoing technology scouting and operational benchmarking.
Skills and Expertise:
- Hands on operational industrial engineering and process improvement experience in garment production operations, including embellishments applications
- Skills and expertise for analyzing and improving existing production processes and systems, with the impact to manufacturing cost and lead time
- Skills and expertise for the design, development and deployment of new production solutions and systems
- Expertise associated with technologies used in garment, footwear, or other apparel production operations, including application of embellishments
- Project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Effective collaboration with team members at all levels
- Training and coaching others
- Basic business acumen
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or commensurate training and work experience
- Minimum 5 years work experience - in garment manufacturing operations with demonstrated engineering for application of technologies, operational process improvement, and problem solving
