AECOM seeks a highly talented and experienced Deputy Chief of Party/Transaction Advisor for the USAID-funded Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI). PGI supports infrastructure project design and delivery, removing barriers to strategic infrastructure opportunities.
The DCOP will work closely with the Chief of Party (COP) and will provide support in project leadership, management, and technical direction.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the COP in managing a multi-disciplinary team and providing technical direction to meet project objectives.
- Leading technical delivery related to transaction advisory support for investments in economic corridors.
- Supporting technical teams in developing infrastructure development deliverables.
- Ensuring environmental compliance (assessments & due diligence).
- Representing AECOM and acting as COP as needed.
- Identifying and managing resource needs.
- Identifying project issues/risks, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring resolutions.
- Ensuring systems are established and maintained.
- Monitoring subcontractors and partners to achieve compliance.
- Overseeing the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning program.
- Providing quality assurance support.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, economics, etc.) + 8 years experience in infrastructure transaction advisory or engineering.
- Experience managing engineering, infrastructure transaction advisory, or construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in infrastructure transaction advisory or engineering.
- Experience implementing projects of similar complexity, scope, and budget, in multiple continents.
- Experience working in International Development (5+ years).
- Proven experience working in Africa, Indo-Pacific, and Latin America/Caribbean.
- Experience managing programs funded by USAID, MCC, DFC, or US State Department.
- Expertise in quality assurance and quality control.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, etc.)
