At Syngenta, we are building a collaborative agriculture team. This role leads the evaluation of digital agriculture products for the Canadian market, ensuring alignment with customer needs. This includes assessing strategic compatibility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Digital Ag Solutions team and review/assess digital product toolsets for fit and value.
- Develop and support business cases for piloting and scaling, collaborating with E-Commerce and Digital Ag leads.
- Develop, execute, and measure the annual Digital Ag validation and piloting plan, aligned with the Digital Ag Strategy.
- Collaborate with North American and global Digital Agriculture teams to understand development strategies and meet Canadian needs.
- Work with Regional Crop Leads and Global Digital Ag Product Managers to ensure Canadian business case needs are met for development investment.
- Develop effective materials and support models to position digital ag products in the market.
- Measure digital tool implementation to improve product optimization and understand its contribution to business performance.
- Monitor the ag technology competitive landscape and maintain digital competitive profiles to support Marketing & Commercial.
- Manage the budget for technical validation and piloting projects.
- Engage with customers to understand business needs for digital solutions, methods, and tools.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years' degree in Ag, Business, Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in commercial implementation of digital ag tools/platforms, with broad technical knowledge of current and emerging trends.
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Business acumen to assess competitive activity, identify growth opportunities, and develop solutions.
- Agronomic assessment, crop production, farm management system, precision ag tools, and ag distribution channel knowledge.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strategic thinking, motivational skills, cross-functional communication, and networking skills.
