About the Role
This is a Director-level individual contributor role. You will work closely with the Business Unit and regional sales professionals to:
- Identify and nurture new business opportunities and customers, driving revenue growth and differentiating the business unit in Cloud Provider, HPC, FinTech, OEM, and Systems Integrator segments.
- Implement effective enterprise sales strategies and methodologies to expand the customer base, strengthen existing relationships, and empower the sales team to meet financial targets through training and leading by example.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions and drive product adoption.
- Collaborate with Sales, Field Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Support to ensure alignment and successful execution of new customer acquisition.
- Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive adoption of storage networking infrastructure.
- Represent the company at industry events, presenting innovative solutions and expanding visibility.
- Drive adoption of next-generation storage solutions by educating customers on benefits and innovations.
- Contribute to marketing and sales enablement materials, aligning with customer needs and competitive positioning.
- Leverage data-driven insights to refine sales strategies, prioritize target accounts, and prospect for new opportunities.
- Track and report on pipeline and design win growth metrics, providing regular updates to the leadership team.
Travel: 35% travel required primarily within EMEA and to the US for major industry conferences and business reviews.
Qualifications:
- Extensive Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven success in business development and sales, driving growth in data storage, storage networking, or related fields, working with Cloud Providers, top 100 HPC institutions, FinTech, regional storage ODMs/OEMs, and Systems Integrators.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills to develop tailored proposals and deliver innovative solutions.
- Organizational Excellence: Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Communication Proficiency: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, conveying complex technical concepts clearly.
- Adaptability and Collaboration: Collaborative mindset and organizational approach to succeed in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
- Storage Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with storage networking topologies is a plus.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams to align goals.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a similar area preferred; an MBA a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience with ODMs and OEMs in data storage.
- Familiarity with storage networking topologies.
- Experience engaging with key customer segments (Cloud Providers, Top 100 HPC institutions, FinTech, Regional Storage ODMs/OEMs, Systems Integrators).
