Job Details
Director of Training supports the development and strategy of company-wide training curriculum, along with the VP of Training and Operations, and other company stakeholders. Responsibilities include assessment, creation, and implementation of business-wide training efforts. This includes designing and facilitating engaging live, virtual, and other training programs to support business goals and ensure exceptional execution of training curriculum for clients.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Identifying and assessing training needs of client organizations through consultations.
- Developing individualized and group training programs addressing specific business needs.
- Creating training curriculum targeting tangible results.
- Implementing effective and purposeful training methods.
- Driving brand values and philosophy throughout all training and development activities.
- Effectively communicating with team members, trainers, and management.
- Selecting and managing resources, including internal employees, clients, and training vendors.
- Managing technologies and technical personnel for training development, management, and delivery.
- Managing, supervising, and coaching other trainers.
- Supporting training curriculum strategy, design, and content deployment.
- Setting clear direction, effective plans, and measurable outcomes to ensure projects are on-time and within budget.
- Supporting budget planning processes.
- Managing employee performance, work processes, and resources to ensure work is accomplished effectively.
- Providing training facilitation as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience leading all aspects of a multi-component program from concept to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful training programs.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business tools.
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strategic and creative mindset.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Expertise in training and facilitation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science.
- 15+ years of experience in Training and Development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Science or related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in Training and Development.
- 10+ years of experience in Life Sciences Leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in People Management.
