TRUEWERK is seeking an experienced marketplace expert to drive growth across key online platforms.
Reporting to the VP of Ecommerce, you'll collaborate with marketing and operations teams to expand TRUEWERK's brand presence and connect with trade professionals.
As the Director of Marketplaces, you'll lead strategy, execution, and optimization of the business across Amazon, Walmart, and emerging marketplaces.
You'll be accountable for driving revenue, profitability, operational excellence, and partnering with the agency team for flawless execution and campaign performance.
This hybrid role requires regular onsite time at TRUEWERK's Denver headquarters, with remote work options based on business needs.
What you'll do:
- Marketplace Strategy & Growth: Manage revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency to meet sales and ROAS goals. Develop and execute strategy for Amazon, Walmart, and emerging marketplaces aligned with overall ecommerce vision. Define growth plans leveraging data and insights. Identify new marketplace opportunities and create expansion roadmaps.
- Forecasting, Reporting & Performance Analytics: Develop and monitor KPIs (sales, advertising efficiency, contribution margin, operational performance). Partner with Finance, Performance Marketing, and leadership to create monthly revenue forecasts. Develop data-driven reporting frameworks for decision-making.
- Channel Operations & Optimization: Oversee listing optimization, pricing, and inventory management for Amazon and Walmart. Manage relationships with account managers to anticipate platform updates and strategic opportunities. Optimize inventory planning and customer experience with supply planning and fulfillment teams. Collaborate with the agency partner to optimize media and retail aspects of the business, manage AMS and Walmart Connect strategies, and optimize campaign structures for efficiency and ROI while adhering to marketplace policies.
- Cross-Functional & Agency Collaboration: Partner with marketing, demand planning, operations, and customer service teams for an integrated strategy. Collaborate across departments for seamless execution. Connect in-house and agency creative teams for seamless content creation for Amazon and Walmart meeting brand guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of ecommerce and marketplace experience with DTC brands.
- Proven track record of marketplace business growth and scaling, with revenue and profitability ownership.
- Deep expertise in Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Advertising (AMS), Walmart Marketplace, and/or Walmart Connect.
- Experience with Shopify/Shopify Plus and NetSuite/similar ERP systems.
- Strong performance management skills with a data-driven approach to driving sales, ROAS, and contribution margin.
- Experience developing and executing marketplace strategies including product assortment, promotional strategy, and listing optimization.
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration across demand planning, supply chain, marketing, customer service, and operations.
- Advanced analytical skills, proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, Amazon Seller Central and Walmart Seller Center reports.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with experience managing relationships across vendors, marketplace account teams, and digital/retail agency partners.
- Experience with 3PL, fulfillment models (FBA, WFS), and inventory forecasting is a plus.

Salary range: $135,000 - $140,000 base salary + bonus.
