TRUEWERK is seeking a Director of Marketplaces to drive growth across online platforms. This hybrid role requires in-office presence in Denver, CO, Tuesday-Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Own marketplace business performance, managing revenue, profitability, and operational efficiencies.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Amazon, Walmart, and emerging marketplaces.
- Define growth plans using data, insights, and market trends.
- Identify new marketplace opportunities and build a roadmap for expansion.
- Develop and monitor KPIs across sales, advertising efficiency, contribution margin, and operational performance.
- Partner with Finance, Performance Marketing, and leadership to develop monthly revenue forecasts.
- Develop and implement data-driven reporting frameworks.
- Oversee listing optimization, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Manage relationships with Amazon and Walmart account managers.
- Optimize inventory planning and ensure customer experience.
- Optimize media and retail aspects of the business, overseeing Amazon Advertising (AMS) and Walmart Connect strategies.
- Partner with marketing, demand planning, operations, and customer service teams.
- Ensure seamless content creation for Amazon and Walmart.
Requirements:
- 7–10+ years of ecommerce and marketplace experience with DTC brands.
- Proven track record of growing and scaling marketplace businesses.
- Expertise in Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Advertising (AMS), Walmart Marketplace, and/or Walmart Connect.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify/Shopify Plus and NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
- Strong performance management skills with a data-driven approach.
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration.
- Advanced analytical skills; proficiency with tools such as Excel/Google Sheets, Amazon Seller Central reports, and Walmart Seller Center data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience with third-party logistics (3PL), fulfillment models (FBA, WFS), and inventory forecasting is a plus.
