Join our journey at Engine, where we're revolutionizing work travel. Our platform transforms how businesses experience travel.
Your Mission: As part of the Engine team, you’ll play a vital role in an environment where innovation meets collaboration. Here’s what you’ll take charge of:
- Own Merchant Partnership Strategy: Identify, prioritize, and negotiate proprietary discount deals with restaurants, airlines, rideshare, food delivery, and SaaS vendors; deliver tangible, measurable value for cardholders
- Build Rewards & Benefits Ecosystem: Launch and manage point-transfer partnerships with major travel loyalty programs; curate redemption options that drive engagement and retention
- Lead End-to-End Deal Execution: From sourcing through legal, finance, risk, and marketing launch; ensure commercial terms meet target ROI and compliance requirements
- Drive Card Adoption & Usage: Collaborate with Product, Growth, and Sales to package offers, run joint campaigns, and track performance against activation, spend, and margin goals
- Establish Partner Governance: Define operating cadences, QBRs, and data-sharing frameworks; monitor partner health and renegotiate when economics shift
- Shape the Vision & Team: Translate market trends into roadmap recommendations; mentor cross-functional peers and hire future partnership managers as volume scales
What You’ll Bring to Engine:
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:
- 7–10+ years negotiating high-value commercial partnerships in card, payments, or loyalty ecosystems with a track record of delivering revenue-positive deals
- Deep network across travel, dining, rideshare, and fintech—able to open doors and close quickly in a startup environment
- Fluency in loyalty economics: interchange, breakage, liability, and point-transfer valuations; comfortable building partner business cases in Excel
- Operator's mindset with experience steering deals through legal, compliance (e.g., SOC 2, PCI-DSS), and risk review processes
- Proven ability to define KPIs, build dashboards, and optimize offers post-launch using data and customer insights
- Builder DNA—you thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to create structure from scratch
