Job Details

NBC Sports Next is seeking a Director of Sales to lead a team and execute a demand generation strategy. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales & Account Management.
Job Duties:
  • Establish and execute strategic plans to acquire customers and grow revenue.
  • Coach, train, and develop the sales team.
  • Support senior leadership on quarterly and annual initiatives.
  • Assist and train new leadership members.
  • Lead organization and execution of meetings.
  • Drive team engagement and foster teamwork.
  • Partner with HR to resolve employee issues.
  • Act as a role model and embody company values.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain talent.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on budgets, compensation plans, and goal setting.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Standardize service level expectations.
  • Develop and optimize GTM strategies.
  • Create repeatable customer success programs.
  • Build strategic relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Collaborate on territory expansion plans.
  • Conduct regular business reviews.
Basic Requirements:
  • 7+ years in a sales leadership/management role (SaaS preferred).
  • Proven ability to motivate, coach, and direct employees.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization.
  • 4+ years of SaaS Sales & Account Management experience.
  • College degree or equivalent.
Desired Characteristics:
  • High competency with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and other CMS/sales marketing tools.
  • Success as a manager and operator within a SaaS and payments market.
  • Results-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the youth sport landscape and industry trends.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter, problem solver, and team player.
