INFICON is seeking a Director of Technical Marketing to lead global industrial engineering focused Semi Smart Manufacturing Marketing efforts. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting and accelerating INFICON's growth.
Responsibilities Include:
- Product Management: Define product strategy, roadmap, feature prioritization, aligned with customer needs and company objectives. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and design teams to ensure product specifications align with market requirements. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback sessions to inform roadmap and product development. Manage product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond. Lead development and refinement of product messaging and positioning based on knowledge of smart manufacturing methodologies, semiconductor processes, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.
- Technical Marketing: Develop and communicate compelling product value propositions and technical differentiators. Create technical content (white papers, case studies, presentations, webinars) to support sales and marketing efforts. Partner with the sales team to deliver training and support. Provide pre-sales technical support including technical presentations and product demonstrations. Lead the development of product demos and technical materials for tradeshows, conferences, and customer engagements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the voice of the customer across teams, ensuring their needs are represented in product development and marketing strategies. Collaborate with corporate marketing to execute campaigns that position INFICON products effectively. Work with support teams to address customer inquiries and integrate feedback into product roadmap.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in technical marketing or related field, with a proven track record in leading marketing teams
- Deep understanding of technology trends and market dynamics in the B2B tech industry
- Advanced technical knowledge in Semi Industrial Engineering and Smart Manufacturing
- Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to develop comprehensive marketing plans
- Strong skills in product positioning, messaging, and digital marketing strategies
- Proficiency in data analysis, market research, and deriving actionable insights
- Excellent project management abilities
- Outstanding communication and public presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring high-performing teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000 base salary in New York, plus profit sharing (target 10%).
