About this Job This role oversees a segment of NielsenIQ North America Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) sales process. Accountable for retention and growth across the entire SA&I portfolio (Consumer Behavior & Insights, Innovation, Brand & Media, Analytics & Activation). Develops account strategies, prospect, creates value, negotiates, and closes deals. Manages sales pipeline with consistent forecasting for the entire book of business. Owns SA&I revenue target/quota.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities.
- Clearly articulate SA&I offerings and value proposition, matching them with client business challenges.
- Handle objections and resistance from clients.
- Understand client business strategy and effectively communicate with cross-functional partners.
- Create and activate annual client strategies and account plans.
- Identify incremental SA&I business growth opportunities.
- Represent all SA&I services in a solution-agnostic manner.
- Own SA&I response/proposal creation (first-time service use, large studies, cross-specialty proposals, recurring revenue, RFPs).
- Liaise internally with Specialty Sales, PL, Ops to assess feasibility.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, engaging internal resources (Customer Success, Operations, Finance).
- Troubleshoot client concerns and escalate to senior leadership.
- Lead client meetings and drive sales strategy.
- Generate thought leadership and use CRM tools for awareness and engagement.
- Follow internal processes and track customer/transactional information in CRM.
- Maintain product/technical knowledge.
- Drive sales with a long-term perspective to maximize revenue generation.
- Ensure projects meet profitability guidelines.
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure healthy client relationships.
- Collaborate with NIQ Account Lead teams on strategy and potential RFP responses.
- Manage SA&I client funds effectively.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years direct sales experience developing new business.
- 7-10 years market research experience selling to FMCG industry.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationships, and mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Experience collaborating with and selling to C-level executives.
- Strong strategic prospecting and new business development skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship development with stakeholders.
- Independent, entrepreneurial, and collaborative mindset.
- Utilize CRM for pipeline building.
- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical aptitude and proven experience meeting sales targets.
Compensation
Market-competitive salary with a range of $92,000 - $135,000. Sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus possible.
