District Sales Manager (DSM) responsibilities: Supporting a high-performance sales team, acting as a liaison for corporate support, achieving near- and long-term sales goals. Collaborating with Sales Operations, Marketing/Med Ed, and Customer Service. Ensuring surgeon support, positive culture, and adherence to company values.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales budget for the district.
- Manage all activities within district expense budget.
- Ensure distributor engagement and support to build a robust customer pipeline.
- Provide technical assistance to surgeons and OR personnel (case coverage).
- Assist in hiring, performance management, and rep conversion.
- Develop new surgeon trainee pipeline.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Five years sales experience in orthopedic medical devices (foot and ankle preferred).
- Two years of sales coaching and development experience leading direct sales teams preferred.
- Comfortable working in an Operating Room environment.
- Ability to travel up to 70%.
