The ELECTRICAL SITE MANAGER is an integral part of Movu US's automated storage solutions, guiding and overseeing electrical installation and commissioning. Solutions include pallet shuttles, tote shuttles, automated robots, and ancillary equipment. Projects are typically 1-30M.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working with project managers, engineers, and mechanical site managers.
- Following up with engineers on technical documents and drawings.
- Supervising project execution and subcontractor personnel.
- Providing problem-solving and troubleshooting support to subcontractors.
- Conducting safety training and regulatory checks.
- Foreseeing project risks and escalating issues.
- Discussing drawings and blueprints with subcontractors.
- Leading site coordination, planning, and reporting.
- Monitoring project progress and quality, identifying and correcting deviations.
- Adhering to the project budget and managing material receiving.
- Controlling equipment certificates and ensuring ongoing certification.
- Monitoring potential delays and reporting on them.
- Taking ownership of results and acting proactively.
- Providing timely reports and ensuring up-to-date documentation.
- Tracking claims and communicating variations to the Project Manager.
Technical Requirements:
- Several years of electrical installation experience, ideally in material handling, automation, or robotics.
- Basic automation controls knowledge and software affinity.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial, Robotics, or Controls Engineering (preferred, but not required).
Practical Requirements:
- Location near a major airport.
- Ability to travel consistently to project sites across the US and Canada (80% average travel annually, potentially 2-3 weeks on-site during critical phases, occasional weekend/evening work).
- Travel for onboarding, training, and possibly to international headquarters.
