The Opportunity:Palmstreet is hiring an Event Manager, Trade Shows to elevate our presence across industry events and grow our brand visibility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, embodies hospitality, and can own trade show activations from end to end—from booth builds to cocktail receptions.We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, extroverted, and level-headed professional who understands the nuances of trade show operations and lives for creating exceptional brand experiences. You’ll work cross-functionally with our Marketing and GTM teams and report to a member of our leadership. The goal is to help GTM teams to recruit new sellers and influencers from trade shows, and to strengthen relationships with existing sellers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Palmstreet’s trade show activations, including booth setup, vendor coordination, on-site logistics, and teardown
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to develop creative trade show strategies aligned with Palmstreet’s brand and growth goals
- Organize and manage high-touch event experiences, like cocktail parties and community meetups, during trade show weekends
- Manage budgets, timelines, and vendors with precision—ensure every detail is accounted for, from electricity rentals to food logistics
- Represent Palmstreet professionally and enthusiastically at events, embodying our brand voice and values
- Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders, providing timely updates and seeking approvals for major decisions
- Troubleshoot onsite challenges with grace and creativity, ensuring seamless experiences for staff and attendees
- Oversee all hospitality aspects—from guest experience to food/beverage logistics to post-event cleanup
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing events, ideally with an in-house, hospitality and/or agency experiential marketing and interactive event production focus
- Proven track record of independently planning and managing complex events with tight turnarounds and high pressure
- Experience managing trade show logistics: booth design, shipping, AV/electricity rentals, vendor permits, staffing coordination, etc.
- Background in hospitality or experience marketing service-driven industry strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and remote communication skills; proactive communicator and team collaborator
- Creative problem solver with the ability to adapt quickly and calmly in unpredictable situations
- Deep understanding of brand representation, event marketing strategy, and audience engagement
Your Location:Remote - Los Angeles or San Francisco Bay Area preferred due to trade show geographies
Travel: 3-5 days per month, including weekends, to help organize and manage our trade show efforts
Compensation:Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
