Retain top customers and nurture key relationships.
Become a strategic partner and advisor to clients, identifying new opportunities for mutual benefit and accelerated growth.
Expand business and relationships with significant clients.
Work closely with various Connectivity & Products locations, business departments, and client stakeholders.
Develop business through existing and potential customers.
Develop a network of contacts, research market opportunities, and oversee growth projects in the SL industry.
Develop assigned Softline accounts.
Collaborate with relevant parties, particularly overseas affiliates, to focus on growing "share of wallet".
Strategic planning, sales management, and prospecting.
Help grow the business by developing new clients.
Support implementation of Global business strategy.
Develop new Softline business streams with key international colleagues (sustainability services, performance clothing, PPE, etc.).
Identify and implement growth strategies for local testing business.
Collaborate with local operational managers to secure business in the UK.
Meet international reporting requirements.
Be a member of the international core Softline team.
Participate in Europe SL team.
Contribute to existing business development, build key relationships, and collect/share market intelligence.
Prioritize safety.
Adhere to Company policies and procedures, prioritizing the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients.
Ensure compliance.
Adhere to the Company's Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct and SGS's Equality & Diversity policy.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- International textiles/garments business understanding.
- Softlines market experience (retail and specialized retail).
- Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Customer-facing/customer care experience.
- Business development experience.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- International inspection/testing coordination knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SGS international structures and activities.
- Understanding of different Softlines activities.
