Global Trade Analyst 1 plays a critical role in supporting international trade operations by ensuring compliance with global import and export regulations. This role is responsible for product classification, restricted party list screenings, export controls, trade compliance documentation, and customs operations to mitigate compliance risks and facilitate global transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct Restricted Party List (RPL) and Denied Party List (DPL) screenings.
- Support goods classification under Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) frameworks.
- Assist in export license applications, EAR and ITAR compliance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with U.S. and global trade regulations (CBP, BIS, OFAC).
- Maintain accurate records of import/export documentation, customs entries, and compliance filings.
Import & Export Operations
- Support import and export transactions, ensuring timely customs clearance and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure the accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to mitigate trade compliance risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with Legal, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance teams to align global trade strategies.
- Assist in developing and implementing trade compliance training.
- Contribute to enhancing automated trade compliance systems (SAP GTS, Descartes).
- Support internal trade compliance audits and process improvements.
