Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, this role is pivotal in shaping the future of Finisterre’s bricks-and-mortar presence. You’ll take ownership of delivering a consistent, retail experience while driving operational excellence and maximising store performance.
As the Head of Retail, you’ll lead, inspire, and develop a passionate retail team, embedding Finisterre’s brand DNA into every customer interaction. You’ll drive exceptional retail standards and use commercial insight, with data-driven decision-making and team development to ensure our stores build customer loyalty and brand advocacy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Define and execute a multi-year retail growth strategy to double our store footprint.
- Lead the new store pipeline, from scoping and feasibility through to successful openings.
- Analyse performance and identify opportunities to maximise revenue and profitability.
- Ensure an exceptional and consistent in-store experience that embodies Finisterre’s values and identity.
- Oversee visual merchandising across all locations to create inspiring, on-brand retail environments.
- Act as a brand ambassador, embedding our heritage, sustainability mission, and lifestyle ethos into every store
- Lead, mentor, and inspire retail managers and store teams to deliver outstanding results
- Build a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and accountability across the retail network
We’re looking for a visionary retail leader who’s passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences and driving growth. You’ll bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in senior retail leadership, ideally within a lifestyle, outdoor, or premium apparel brand
- A proven track record of delivering significant growth, improving store performance, and leading retail expansion
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies
- Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to engage, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent influencing skills, with the confidence to engage and present at board level
