We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Incentive Compensation Manager to lead the administration and preliminary design of the incentive compensation program for Guardant’s Screening division.
This role ensures alignment with business objectives, compliance with regulatory standards, and motivation of the sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Incentive Compensation Planning & Administration:
- Own the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the sales incentive compensation plan and policy.
- Ensure accurate and timely calculation and processing of incentive payouts.
- Monitor plan effectiveness and recommend adjustments to maintain alignment with business objectives.
- Plan Design & Strategy:
- Draft preliminary plan designs in collaboration with leadership for approval.
- Develop creative solutions to incentivize the sales team while balancing business costs and goals.
- Analyze industry trends and benchmarks to ensure plans remain competitive and effective.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Provide regular performance insights to leadership on payout trends, sales attainment, and incentive impact.
- Ensure the integrity of data used for calculations and reporting.
- Partner with Finance to project incentive costs and budget implications.
- Respond to inquiries from the field and leadership related to plan design and attainment reporting.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Commercial leadership to align incentives with strategic goals.
- Work closely with Compliance and the People team to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Maintain clear communication with the salesforce regarding plan structure and updates.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in incentive processes.
- Partner with IT and operational teams to optimize systems supporting incentive calculations.
- Develop and implement SOPs for consistent execution across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in incentive compensation management within the diagnostics, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries, or in consulting roles related to these sectors.
- Start-up experience is ideal.
- Proven track record of managing sales incentive compensation administration in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and incentive management tools.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
