Location: Remote position in the Pacific Northwest (OR, WA, ID, CA, UT, NV, WY).
Role:
The Key Account Manager will grow Poppi's business across multiple grocery and c-store accounts, driving towards annual objectives.
- Account Management: Customer acquisition, development, retention, corporate program sales, brand promotions.
- Relationship Building: Secure meetings with buyers/retail decision-makers, using relationships, data, brokers, and distributors.
- Sales Team Coordination: Inform field sales and DSDs on updates for new accounts, promotions, shelf activities, and sku authorizations; maintain chain alerts.
- Space Management: Direct and manage space management priorities.
- Sales Tools: Utilize sales tools (syndicated data, portal data, shelf set software).
- Communication: Maintain communication with field sales and distributors; contribute to annual account planning.
- Budget Management: Manage trade spend budget and track plans.
- Brand Awareness: Participate in trade shows, events to build brand awareness.
- Sales Reporting: Provide sales updates to key stakeholders.
- Additional Tasks: Complete ad-hoc responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to drive team impact, growth, and profit.
- Beverage sales experience with focus on customer acquisition, retention, sales planning, and negotiation.
- Key account management experience (Kroger, Albertsons, etc.), ABSCO HQ, brokers, broad lines, and retail accounts.
- Knowledge of retail initiatives (category management, information-based selling).
- Data-driven decision-making, critical stakeholder communication.
- Professionalism, integrity, collaboration, strong work ethic, adaptability.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience interfacing with stakeholders.
- Proactive, confident, and resourceful.
Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 3+ years beverage sales experience with key account management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry systems (VIP/IDIG, IRI, SPINS, Nielsen).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Additional Requirements:
- Travel throughout the Pacific Northwest.
- 50-pound lifting requirement.
- Flexibility with work hours.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and type.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000 base salary (negotiable).
