Job Details

The Key Account Manager is the main interface between Sirtex and its customers, responsible for achieving sales objectives by prospecting and servicing accounts in Belgium & Luxembourg.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement account plans to generate strategic relationships and sales.
  • Deliver selling presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the hospital and referral area.
  • Organize peer-to-peer educational meetings and trainings.
  • Influence clinicians and key opinion leaders to increase product awareness and use.
  • Understand and promote relevant clinical data.
  • Continuously educate oneself on disease states and the business environment.
  • Participate in congresses and organize local medical events.
  • Support third-party business partners in clinical trials.
  • Understand health/product reimbursement.

Educational Prerequisites and Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology, Nursing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of medical sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical devices, with 2 years in a specialized hospital environment.
  • Extensive knowledge in oncology, gastroenterology, or hepatology.
  • Existing relationships with GI oncologists, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and liver surgeons beneficial.
  • Track record of successful funding negotiations in Belgium.
  • Experience in strategic selling with high-value products.
  • Experience in key opinion leader development.
  • Good communication skills and a service-oriented mentality.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Native speaker of local language (Dutch and French).
  • Advanced level of English language.
