As a Lead Data Scientist, the person is responsible for manipulating and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources, integrating this data either through statistical modeling or data fusion, and communicating findings in a clear manner to internal and external clients. The individual will also work with internal team members to assist in solving internal and external client problems. This is a full-time non-contract position.
As the Lead, Data Science, you will have the following key accountabilities:
- Develop new solutions for Platform and Media Products to meet our client’s needs.
- Perform exploratory analysis to select appropriate tools and methods
- Initiate and drive collaboration with stakeholders including architects, data engineers and product managers to define, cleanse, and refine the data needed for outcomes desired.
- Analyze and build novel datasets to extract actionable insights to inform platform advancements and understand customer behavior.
- Become an expert of the MRI-Simmons ecosystem and how various user personas or profiles use MRI-Simmons data to plan, generate audiences, activate and measure.
- Collaborate with other data science teams to identify efficiencies and maintain consistency where appropriate for sustainable growth, integrations and scale.
- Collaborate with product owners and managers on their advanced analytic needs.
- Display full ownership and accountability of projects including project scoping, analysis design, project planning, and implementation.
- Communicate challenges or issues with a recommended course of action to appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
- Generate analysis, audits, reporting, documentation, and coding as part of the process.
- Ability to prioritize projects based on business impact and value.
- Present analysis of results in a clear manner.
- 5+ years of experience in a professional data science or machine learning role in related field
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or similar field required.
- Expert-level experience using modern data analysis tools and languages (SQL, Python, R, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Splunk, etc.)
- Experience with ML/AI techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
