RR Donnelley is seeking a Legal Document Specialist for their 2nd Shift team.
Summary: Supports time-sensitive project requests by working with a team across multiple shifts and locations. Must enjoy producing quality work and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and format legal documents to firm specifications using various software.
- Convert, clean, and format documents to/from different file formats.
- Create charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets.
- Create and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of Contents.
- Perform data entry.
- Transcribe analog or digital dictation files.
- Restore/recover corrupted document files.
- Provide telephone help desk support.
- Complete assigned jobs by deadline accurately and timely.
- Handle sensitive and confidential documents and information.
- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Flexibility to work overtime
- Ability to work through complex legal document markups and instructions accurately and timely
- Ability to prioritize various requests and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to interact with clients and team members professionally
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience in legal word processing or document production preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Experience with creating TOAs, TOCs, inserting automated cross-references, converting PDFs, applying Word styles with macros, troubleshooting problem documents, redlines, multiple numbering schemes, style separators, cross-references, and other automated fields.
- Transcription experience a plus.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and legal citations preferred.
