Job Details
We are seeking a Word Processing professional to support time-sensitive project requests, working with a team across multiple shifts and locations. Candidates must enjoy producing quality work and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Knowledge in legal word/document processing using various legal software and the Microsoft Office suite is an added advantage.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 4 PM-12:30 AM (Pacific Time)
Pay Rate: $21.19/hour
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and format legal documents to firm specifications using various software applications.
- Convert, clean, and format documents to/from different file formats.
- Create charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets as requested.
- Create and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of Contents.
- Perform data entry using various software applications.
- Transcribe analog or digital dictation files.
- Restore/recover corrupted document files as necessary.
- Provide telephone help desk support to troubleshoot application queries.
- Complete all assigned jobs by the deadline accurately and timely.
- Handle sensitive/confidential documents and information.
- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Skills:

- Ability to work through complex legal document markups and instructions timely and accurately
- Ability to prioritize various requests and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to interact with client and team members professionally and respectfully
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience in legal word processing or document production preferred
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Experience/exposure to legal word processing tasks such as creating TOAs, TOCs, inserting cross-references, converting PDFs to Word, applying Word styles using macros, troubleshooting documents with redlines, multiple numbering schemes, style separators, cross-references, and automated fields is preferred
- Transcription experience is a plus
- Knowledge of legal terminology and legal citations preferred
