Full-Time Manager - Business Development (Packaging)

Responsibilities:

• Perform market research to identify, evaluate, and launch new growth opportunities.
• Act as a project manager with respect to new opportunities by constructing an initial business case, identifying/researching potential partners, coordinating market research, and coordinating with marketing to develop sales and marketing materials.
• Identify what is important to track within selected markets and report on developments.
• Track and report various performance metrics and modify projections as appropriate based on insights drawn from industry events, customer behavior, technology developments, etc.
• Provide ongoing competitive intelligence on competitors.
• Act as a consultant by becoming a subject matter expert in a particular area and coach others as they launch similar initiatives.
• Travel: 25% of time required for travel.
• Perform other duties and participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in the packaging industry, preferably in folding cartons
• 3+ years of experience in business development, contracts, licensing, or marketing.
• Well-developed research skills.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
• Strong financial background.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• General comfort in working with ambiguity.

Compensation:

Salary range: $98,100 to $156,900 / year.
