Main responsibilities:
- Management of European regulations (REACH, ELV, SCIP) by collecting, evaluating, and managing IMDS/MSDS data.
- Coordination with suppliers for the removal of regulated substances.
- Monitoring the authorization process for restricted substances and implementing their removal through investigations and action plans.
- Updating CATIA drawings according to provided instructions.
- Performing CAE structural adjustments using client-defined software.
- Close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design alignment, quality compliance, and continuous process improvement.
Education:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of EU regulations (REACH, ELV, SCIP) and company policies, ensuring material and component compliance.
- Expertise in assessing chemical substances, their impact, and potential alternatives, along with material assessment to eliminate regulated substances.
- Proficient in analyzing IMDS/MSDS data, conducting impact analyses, and monitoring substance authorization.
- Experienced in conducting supplier surveys, evaluating chemical management processes, and ensuring timely communication and responses.
- Skilled in CATIA for drawing updates and modifications, with CAE expertise to adjust and analyze structural components.
- Ability to develop and implement action plans to eliminate regulated substances, continuously improving workflows and adapting to new tools.
- Commitment to maintaining accuracy in regulatory documentation, design updates, and supplier evaluations while upholding high engineering and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in both English and French communication.
