Full-Time Mechanical Supervisor

Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the mechanical installation of photovoltaic (PV) trackers, fixed tilt, floating and special structures (carport) on a large-scale solar project.

To ensure work is executed according to the manufacturer’s installation manual, project specifications, and safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with the site manager, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.

1. Oversee material delivery from suppliers
2. Monitor installation works: piling, upper structure, module installation, cable dressing
3. Possible interaction with other stakeholders (engineering & surveyor)
4. Supervise and monitor mechanical works
5. Monitor lifting activities
6. Ensure quality inspections of materials (grain size gravel, concrete, steel, etc.)
7. Comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
8. Inspections of the works and their documentation
9. Technical inputs during execution
10. Maintaining the quality management system
11. Support on weekly and monthly progress reporting
12. Report delays and breaches

Technical education: Construction, Mechanical engineering

Experience: 1-3 years in construction, preferably in PV, but wind, gas, and oil also suitable.

Expertise: Strong expertise in construction, good expertise in MS Office, strong communication skills in English, German (desired/beneficial), Spanish/French/Italian/Dutch (a plus). Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and stakeholders. Familiar with construction, and logistics of solar projects. Technical understanding of solar PV.
