Full-Time MRO Buyer

MRO and CAPEX Buyer is responsible for end-to-end procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MR&O) materials and Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) for solar PV production equipment and facility upgrades across two U.S. manufacturing sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. MR&O Procurement (Core Focus)
   • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers for MRO materials (e.g., spare parts, tools, supplies).
   • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms for cost savings and reliable supply.
   • Analyze usage data to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and prevent downtime.
   • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.
   • Drive process optimization of PR to PO activities.
2. CAPEX Procurement (Expanded Role)
   • Lead the procurement of capital assets (equipment, upgrades, technology).
   • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to define CAPEX needs and evaluate vendor proposals.
   • Negotiate long-term contracts, leases, or financing options aligned with budgets and ROI.
   • Manage vendor performance (installations, warranties, post-purchase support).
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
   • Partner with maintenance, engineering, finance, logistics, and legal teams.
   • Coordinate customs clearance, installation logistics, and contract compliance.
   • Provide regular updates on procurement progress, cost variances, and risk mitigation.
4. Cost Optimization & Compliance
   • Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers for cost savings.
   • Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
   • Prepare performance reports on cost savings, on-time delivery, and asset utilization.

Skills Expertise

• Operational procurement and capital asset acquisition expertise.
• Knowledge of solar PV manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
• Strong financial acumen for CAPEX proposals and ROI models.
• Excellent negotiation skills and vendor relationship management.

Education and Experience
