OEM Sales Manager
Position Overview: OEM Sales Manager is responsible to achieve annual sales and/or profit goals through efficient management and customer satisfaction within assigned territory, focusing on OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers in the ABA (Automotive, Building Interior and Aerospace) markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide quality service to sia Abrasive customers (OEMs & distributors/direct accounts) in all assigned tasks, upholding sia's company values.
- Achieve and surpass assigned sales goals by maximizing promotion and sales activity of sia Abrasive products.
- Effectively communicate and manage OEM accounts, direct and distribution relationships.
- Manage daily sales activities (quoting, obtaining orders) to build and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding their business objectives, needs and challenges.
- Develop and maintain OEM account coverage plan within designated territory
- Properly present the sia Abrasives line
- Communicate regularly with management
- Efficiently use and understand sia Abrasive policies, procedures, and technology
- Market development activities:
- Prospect, develop, and maintain OEM accounts (through distributors and direct end users)
- Perform product in-service training to ensure customer satisfaction, as needed
- Provide frequent market feedback on products, competition, and market conditions to manager
- Develop and maintain competitor and distributor information
- Develop and manage existing OEM accounts
- Actively identify all sia Abrasive products for current and potential customers, communicating results to sales management.
- Generate new ideas contributing to territory, business unit, and company profitability.
- Fulfill sales administration duties:
- Expense reporting within sia Abrasives T&E Policy
- Sales call and sales activity reporting
- Organize and participate in conferences, trade shows, and/or workshops
- Develop and establish strong direct and distribution accounts aligned with sia Abrasives Mission, Vision, and objectives.
- Develop and implement a business plan for assigned region.
- Work with direct OEM accounts and distributor partners to evaluate, test, and gain new applications.
- Support existing partners and develop new OEM distribution.
- Test new products with customers, monitor test results, and report findings.
- Submit sample requests and pricing quotes.
- Report on sales activities to VP of Sales - weekly and as needed.
- Monitor and report sales expenses as requested by company policy.
- Special assignments
- 5+ years experience with a proven track record of significant sales accomplishments with OEMs in the Automotive, Building Interior and Aerospace sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or other business field.
- Coated and non-woven abrasive sales experience is a plus
- Self-starter, energetic, ability to create growth opportunities and close deals.
