Full-Time Open Pit Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement systems for supply chain liaison (internal and external) to meet quality, time, and cost targets.
• Maintain accurate inventory control systems, including minimum/maximum stock levels, and provide reporting.
• Investigate supply and delivery options for optimal quality and pricing.
• Contribute to supply contract tendering, monitor performance, and record transactions.
• Plan and schedule major consumables, accounting for contingencies to meet operational and budget targets.
• Provide leadership and coaching for continuous improvement.
• Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, actively listen, offer feedback, and hold regular meetings.
• Contribute to safety improvements in Purchasing & Logistics and Open Pit Maintenance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing and logistics.
• Exposure to mining, manufacturing, or production environments is desirable.
• Management experience is advantageous.
• High computer literacy, strong MS Office skills.
• Full NZ Driver's Licence
• Tertiary qualification in logistics or related field is preferred.
• Current NZ forklift licence
• First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
