General Manufacturing OpEx Coach, under the leadership of the General Manufacturing Senior Coaching Director, is responsible for providing expert-level coaching and implementing/utilizing Redzone software to drive real-time improvement, primarily for non-food manufacturing applications (assembly, electronics, automotive, chemicals, machining, consumer goods).
This role is full-time, exempt, remote, and requires travel 42 weeks annually (Monday-Thursday). Coaches must transport themselves via driving and flying (up to 80% as needed).
- Participate in Industrial team forums to discuss 90-day program/software/workflow changes.
- Train customer teams on Redzone workflows within 90-day programs.
- Facilitate huddle and daily vital signs meetings to support shop-floor action cycles.
- Track performance data and uplifts (e.g., Capacity, Cycle Time, WIP).
- Lead Kaizen activities during customer 90-day programs.
- Provide feedback to customer teams/leadership to drive positive results.
- Facilitate weekly progress meetings remotely.
- Identify & celebrate "miracle stories"/results.
- Manage project schedules with customers.
- Provide Success Assessments upon project completion.
- Deliver module overviews to customers.
- Troubleshoot customer issues.
- Support customer identification of next steps in their Redzone journey.
- Potentially coach non-general manufacturing (as needed).
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on manufacturing experience (e.g., Operations Manager, Production Supervisor, Continuous Improvement Manager), preferably with General Manufacturing experience.
- Understanding of WIP management, in-process quality assurance.
- Ability to identify process waste & inhibitors.
- Understanding of batch & single-piece flow & batch size reduction.
- Practice using OEE (or Capacity, Cycle Time, WIP) in driving improvement.
- Ability to plan & execute value stream mapping.
- Understanding of Redzone software.
- PLC experience (desired, not required).
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS in relevant fields (Engineering, Manufacturing, Organizational Leadership/Management, Supply Chain, Business Management).
- 2+ years in a similar coaching position.
