Purpose of the Role
Oversee and manage the production process, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time and within budget. Plan, schedule, coordinate, and organize production activities and resources.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Product Launch: Collaborate with teams to define scope, develop product designs within budget, and ensure designs fit manufacturing capabilities.
- Work with Design Engineers to document design concepts for manufacturing.
- Complete first article launch with suppliers and travel to approve first articles.
- Track changes, document the change process and completion dates.
- Ensure manufacturing processes reduce production failure risks.
- Perform periodic quality checks and provide installation training.
- Value Engineering: Bring value engineering ideas and work with manufacturing partners to solidify cost reductions.
- Warranty Reduction: Own warranty costs and look for opportunities to improve products, processes, or supply chain.
- Bid and Quote: Aid in the process to build customer base and revenue.
- Custom Signage: Conduct meetings to identify custom signage requirements and ensure production meets specifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes - Essential:
- BS in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Ability and willingness to travel (50%).
- 10 years of experience in sign manufacturing.
- Strong customer focus and service orientation.
- Strong communications skills.
- Professional maturity and business acumen.
- Ability to manage stress and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced PC skills (Excel).
