Full-Time Public Affairs & Communication Lead AME

Role Purpose: The Business Sustainability (BS) function plays a key role in coordinating the development and implementation of the Company & Regional Business Sustainability agenda in AME. The role focuses on Public Affairs and Communication (internal and external). Accountabilities: Co-develop the AME Public Affairs strategy, and the Business Sustainability agenda. Support the BS & REG Head in developing annual AME BS priorities, ensuring internal and external visibility of BS plans/projects. Manage stakeholder engagement, lead internal and external communications, and provide guidance to the AME Communication Team. Act as a point of contact for regional and global BS teams. Develop processes for PA/Communication issue management. Work with the Regional PA office and support the BS & REG Head in industry engagement. Support the BU Commercial Head in internal and external events.

Knowledge & skills: Ability to develop impactful Policy shaping strategies and Communication plans, coordination and leadership skills, strong communication skills, event management/project management skills, proactive, self-motivated.

Experience: Solid experience in PA and Communication, experience in Policy shaping and Communication, expert in agriculture, portfolio, regulatory, advocacy, or brand & reputation dimensions.

Capabilities: Demonstrated strengths in communication, self-organization, problem-solving, negotiation, influencing skills across cultures. Networking capabilities, ability to work independently and with the commercial organization, multitasking, prioritizing and delivering goals on time. Good understanding of the political, social, and cultural complexities of countries. Good understanding of Syngenta’s business.
