Locations: Role can be based out of our supply chain locations below or corporate office. Ann Arbor, MI; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Marietta, GA; Los Angeles, CA; Katy, TX; Dallas, TX; Kent, WA; Denver, CO
Hybrid Schedule: Monday-Thursday in-office and Friday remote.
Salary: $85,000 to $105,000 plus a 10% annual bonus.
Travel: Up to 50% (Typical travel is 1 week (Mon-Fri) a month).
Responsibilities:
- Partner with supply chain center teams to execute health and safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Create a culture of safety, monitor and coach safety action items, and follow up on safety incidents.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk and ensure a safe working environment.
- Build strong relationships with the supply chain team and articulate safety programs.
- Provide risk assessments and safety data analysis to center leaders.
- Develop mitigation plans with center leaders.
- Encourage, request, and leverage feedback to identify and remove safety concerns.
- Identify and escalate safety incidents to stakeholders.
- Proactively conduct risk assessments, site visits, and safety inspections.
- Implement solutions to reduce exposure to risks and prevent injury.
- Share identified risks and solutions across centers.
- Identify trends and root causes to achieve improvement.
- Assist sites in implementing health and safety policies and educating team members on responsibilities.
- Audit recordkeeping practices and ensure compliance.
- Support centers through incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action processes.
- Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to develop improvement plans.
- Serve as a technical resource for health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field, or 2+ years of experience leading people or cross-functional projects.
- Knowledge and experience in federal, state, and local health & safety regulations.
- 3-5+ years of increasing responsibilities in Health and Safety, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience with multi-site, multi-state safety responsibilities.
- Experience in incident reduction through education and influence.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of leadership.
- Experience in compiling, analyzing data & trend analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
