As the Retail Sales Manager, you will represent our Therma-Tru, Larson, Fiberon, and Fypon brands to lead the company’s revenue growth goals for the Northeast division.
You will supervise a team of retail sales representatives and develop and implement marketing plans to generate maximum sales performance.
The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of mentoring and coaching a team of successful sales professionals and be familiar partnering with retailers like Home Depot and Lowe's.
This remote position is based in the Northeast US covering a 13 state territory. We expect up to 50% travel.
What you will be doing:- Hire, lead, manage and coach a team of 11 - 13 retail sales representatives
- Participate in strategic planning for Retail channel
- Assist retail sales reps with business development planning
- Leverage our retail sales process to drive best practices selling
- Foster relationships with peer wholesale field sales leaders
- Develop relationships with key distribution partners to grow their capabilities
- Manage metrics such as: sales revenue, profitability, market share growth
- Conduct periodic ride a longs with retail reps and provide coaching/feedback
- Serve as the primary contact for escalation of issues brought forward by retail sales reps
- Inform VP of Sales of opportunities, issues, and competitor actions
- Maintain budget for division sales team
- Provide forecast input into operational planning process
- Attend trade shows and other customer events
- 5-7 years of sales experience calling on retail and/or home center channels (Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a track record of coaching, developing and mentoring talent
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with CRM platforms (i.e. HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics)
- Strong public speaking and ability to demonstrate products
- Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of an organization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sales/Marketing
- Experience and knowledge of wholesale distribution channel
- Professional sales training program or certificate
