Regional Manager will collaborate with Territory Managers for daily sales activity management, encompassing account ownership of 2-step distributors, dealers, and contractors.
Ideal candidate possess experience in coaching and guiding a sales team within a 2-step sales model in the building materials industry.
The candidate should showcase success in outside sales, demonstrate autonomy, and be able to travel extensively.
Location: This remote position is based in Chicago, IL, requiring 4-5 overnight trips monthly. Territory covers IL, WI, MN, IA, ND, SD, and NE.
Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 plus annual bonus. Company car, laptop, and cell phone provided.
Responsibilities:
- Develop regional sales strategies to increase market share.
- Execute regional activities consistent with U.S. Wholesale's strategic direction.
- Understand target markets and influencers to collaborate with Strategic Account Managers, Showroom Specialists, and Inside Sales.
- Foster a high-performance environment through target setting, measuring, and managing work, team collaboration, performance management, employee development, and proper rewards/recognition.
- Formulate a Regional Sales Plan with short and long-term goals for target markets and key customers.
- Achieve/exceed annual sales targets by leveraging opportunities.
- Create accurate regional and key account forecasts with insightful performance analyses.
- Build strong sales teams through recruitment, training, and development, leveraging Moen's Operating Philosophy.
- Use technology to improve field effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Monitor and communicate business trends, competitive practices, and product performance to senior leadership.
- Foster accountability and lead by example.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or 4+ years of commensurate sales experience in lieu of a degree.
- 8+ years of sales experience; 3+ years of leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, coaching, development, and mentoring skills.
- Availability to travel throughout the assigned territory (4-5 nights per month).
- Familiarity with a CRM system (e.g., HubSpot).
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with all customers, associates, and agents.
