The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for identifying new distributors and building relationships within the Southern territory. The role requires a consultative approach to convert quotes into sales.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying new distributors and building relationships.
- Converting quotes to sales.
- Traveling 35-50% within the territory to meet with distributors.
- Presenting solutions and closing deals.
- Working with engineering team to develop solutions.
- Leading sales & marketing efforts.
- Training distributor sales & technical staff.
- Participating in trade shows.
- Monthly and yearly forecasting/reporting.
Products: Conventional racking and automated solutions (Atlas 1D, mobile racking, high-bay storage).
Customers: Leading distributors throughout the US and Canada, serving various industries (3PL, food & beverage, industrial storage).
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience in the material handling industry.
- Experience in distributor networks (preferred).
- Technical aptitude.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel 35-50% within the territory.
- Ability to communicate with clients at various levels.
