Regional Sales Manager - West
The Regional Sales Manager identifies new distributors in the assigned territory, builds relationships, and converts quotes into sales. You'll be a trusted, consultative partner. Strong technical aptitude for semi-automated storage solutions, experience winning over material handling distributors, and a hunter mentality are critical.
Products: Conventional racking, automated racking solutions (Atlas 1D, mobile racking, high-bay storage).
Customers: Leading distributors throughout the US and Canada, serving end users in industries like 3PL, Food & Beverage, and industrial storage.
Responsibilities:
- Complete sales cycle (proposals, calculations, offers - with engineering support).
- Develop business opportunities with new and existing distributors.
- Travel 35-50% within the territory.
- Create and present solutions, focus on closing orders.
- Offer consultative solutions with a strong value proposition.
- Drive solution development (internal calculations, drawings).
- Lead sales & marketing efforts (territory and product-specific).
- Train distributor sales and technical staff.
- Participate in trade shows (local and corporate).
- Assist in monthly/yearly forecasting/reporting.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of material handling sales experience.
- Experience establishing distributor networks (preferred, not required).
- Technical aptitude.
- Hunter and farmer mindset.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Willingness to travel 35-50% within the territory and possibly to Europe.
- Ownership, hands-on approach, and ambition.
- Excellent communication skills with clients at all levels.
